I may have misspoke here. First off if the conduit is a ground- ie, grounded back to the panel then there would be no need for the GFCI. Secondly, if the conduit is an extension of a 2 wire circuit that does not go back to the panel then you cannot use the conduit as a ground. The GFCI will not create a ground thus the conduit would still be ungrounded.

Thirdly, yes you can install a 3 wire receptacle down stream from the GFCI but it must be marked no equipment ground.

Also you cannot extend a 2 wire ungrounded circuit, IMO, unless you ground the circuit according to 250.130 (C).
