Replacing panel

If drawings were asking you to replace a panel in same place as per attached note would you want/need to know size of conductors feeding panel?
I'd say no as you just need to disconnect and reconnect the feeder and not extend. Not that there would be many conductor size variations for 150A main breaker.

If, as shown, the job consists of replacing the panel with one of equal or greater ampacity I would not worry about ampacity.
As stated above, I would be far more worried about other details.

Seems like the job specs should be given to you, then you source and price it out for the estimate. You shouldn't have to be concerned with conductor sizes, conduit sizes, etc. Just go off the specs given to you.

If it turns out there is something wrong, like the feeder wires are #6 and the new load calculation says 300 amps, that is a change order.

The commission you get from change orders is likely a big chunk of your compensation so if they want to enrich you, I would not get all that worried.
