Replacing square d main bus

I was fishing wire and a ground hit the bus. It arced pretty bad! I feel like for safety reasons I need to replace this bus now. It’s a 40/80 indoor panel main breaker square D home line. I want to replace just the main bus and breaker (obviously torque to spec) but have never done just bus replacement. Is it possible or do I need to just swap the entire panel. I know Siemens it’s possible

You can no longer, for almost 40 years now, change the actual bus bars.

Do as ptonsparkey said.

You just have to make sure the guts you are swapping in are the same part # as what you are taking out, or else weird stuff like the panel cover not lining up will happen. There are usually only 2 hex head screws that hold square-d guts in.

I know that Eaton or maybe Siemens was making a retrofit panelboard to insert into an existing enclosure. But not sure if that works with some typical Loadcenters, as not sure the guts are removable on them. Was particularly useful for obsolete panels.

On residential, I only use Square D and I usually remove the guts until making up the panel to protect from paint and damage by other "trades".
