I have a backyard pond 2/3rds the size of a bathtub and a 120v pump in it is on a GF device.
A plastic membrane lines the pond so I guess the water is not grounded, although it does circulate over stones.
Should I install a grounded wire into the water to trip the GF the moment the pump fails rather than having some grounded person be the test subject for the GF device?
