Is a pantry considered a closet? Any requirements for outlets in a pantry? Does this fall under the 2 required small appliance branch circuits?

No receptalces required, but if you install them, they must be on theSmall Appliance circuits. 210(52(B)(1)

Pantry. a room or closet for keeping provisions,dishes, table linens, etc

thats from a dictionary. But for our pupose its a room that is associated with the kichen counter circuts as per 210.52(B)1
