What does everyone use for floor receptacles for a slab on grade house? I've typically used PVC Steel City 68P boxes, but I'd like to find something better. It'd be nice if there was something for a box like the 68P that you could just set the box a little high and trim it down after the concrete was poured. Then put an adjustable insert in to adjust to the actual finished floor height. I had someone tell me they were going to put in a vinyl floor, so I trimmed the box down and a year later they put in a 3/4 inch hardwood floor, so if there was something that could go in afterwards to adjust the receptacle height for future changes, it would help a lot. Anyone have anything they use that works particularly well for this? I've also had concrete guys knock them around and they don't set them back to the right height.

I use the same ones you posted and I never had an issue with them. You can drive some 1/4" rod thru the tabs on the outside to keep it in place

We use some type adjustable metal floor boxes. There are a million to choose from and they offer great flexibility as far as adjustment goes.
