Im working on a house that is built out of cinder block and concrete. Too meet code, the architect has drawn floor receptacles. The home owner does not want to spend the money (its a rental) and would just like the floor outlets cut into the floor and trimmed out as a wall receptacle would be. The receptacles will be close to the wall, say, withing 6" so is there any code stating that we have to use a floor box with metal trim or anything of the sort? Please refer me to any code sections possible as I do not find anything stating that we have to install a specific product.
Thank you in advance.
