I was failed on a residential inspection today. Can anybody tell me how many duplex recepticles you can install after a 20amp GFCI recepticle?

Re: residential gfci

In a dwelling, the amount is unlimited. What article did the inspector say that you violated?

Re: residential gfci

The only limit would be a manufacturers limit and would be in the instructions.

The manufacturer may have a limit so it is always good to check the Instruction sheet. Is this why you failed?, I don't know.

I had a friend tell me, that an inspector informed him, you are only allowed as many as those tiny stickers that say "GFI Protected" that come in the box.

If I buy a 3-pack, and get 3 times the stickers, can I combine them on one circuit?
:D
