Residential outdoor receptacle outlets

I've searched the threads and the NEC. Going from memory based on 2014 NEC, outdoor receptacles are not permitted to be connected to small appliance circuits, bathroom circuits and I'm thinking garage circuits. Besides these circuits and dedicated circuits dedicated circuits, what other circuits are not allowed to supply outdoor receptacles in a residence?

Sounds like you got it. The outdoor receptacles can go on most general lighting circuits. As you mentioned, the garage, kitchen and bathroom receptacles would be excluded. There may be others but I can't think of any right now

It is not so much that certain circuits are not allowed to supply outdoor receptacles. Rather, certain circuits are described as being intended for specific purposes, and the code goes on to say that they shall supply no other outlets. But these are not given to us in one location. For example, you have to look at the rule for bathroom circuits, in order to see the "no other outlet" rule.

I would add the laundry circuit to the list that Dennis provided.
