If the disconnect needs to be within site or if a breaker lock can be substituted. I feel that the disconnect needs to be within site, others at work say breaker lock works. Over 1/8 HP. Older controller with a screw on cover, which now that I think closer worked like an a/c disco. Being that is screws shut and you need to take a screw out would that still work as the disco?

I usually put a disco next to the pressure switch to comply with a disco for the controller. I install a wp locking cover that has a red handle which can be locked if you install a lock into it.. That is all you need-- no need for a disco at the well head.

I find that a 4-square with an RS toggle cover and a Prinzing [WSLO] wall switch lockout at the pressure switch/storage tank in the building usually suffices. I also like that they are clear plastic, so I can see the position of the toggle switch.
