Agent Orange finally came calling and I have been out of the business since 2010 .
Thought of all the help I had gotten in the past so asking for guidance
We are located in Texas
Our son has a mobile home that he wants to add circuits in a couple of rooms
He called an electrician out and they told him they would run 5 individual circuits
They are wanting to use underground wiring laid on top of the ground under the mobile home
1. There is new construction all around so rats and mice are carrying him off (got a couple of cats that has helped)
2. when it rains the ground under the home stays wet for a long time
3. concern of an animal getting under there as well as rats and tearing the wire up
I told him he needs to run 3/4 EMT and then run Romex inside of it and then punch up thru the wall
and make 5 different runs . I say 3/4 just for ease of pulling the romex
Business is booming so I know why electrician is trying to do it the simplest and way and save son as much money as he can
The guys heart is in the right place
Should we go with his advice and chance the rats will not bother it
Is there a better or simpler solution or suggestion
I agree with the son I do not like the idea of the wiring being exposed under the house
I have read thread after thread and did not find anything on running new circuits
If there is any I would appreciate you pointing me in that direction
