What is RGS

Rigid Galvanized Steel, probably not what it is called in the Electrical world. I have heard it called, RGS, GRC, & RMC

Rigid Galvanized Steel or better known in the NEC as a type of RMC.

Or GRC Galvanized Rigid Conduit

RMC in NEC can be steel, stainless, brass, aluminum, possibly other metals. Steel is the most common though.
