They need a 30 watt resistor? Might as well hook it across the porch light and get some light instead of dumping all that heat into the wall. (I'm half joking here.)
I didn't look at the links you posted but in OP it says 50 watt 25 ohms. My guess is that is a recommended resistor, and it would only draw maximum current while the button is depressed just like a regular door chime does, while in standby mode the current is much less. Plus typical doorbell transformer is only ~10 VA and wouldn't be able to deliver that sort of power for long at all/if at all before overheating the transformer
