What is a road show disconnect switch?

I was asked to include 200A, 208V, 3-phase 'road show disconnect' for a ballroom in this hotel I am working on. I think I understand what it is used for (easily accessible supplemental power for the ballroom), but I don't get how you connect to it.

Is it just like any other 200A disconnect, just located near the ballroom? Or is different because its a 'road show' disconnect?

Does someone just hardwire to the load side of the switch? Or do 'road show disconnects' have integral 200A receptacles? Or service cords? Or something similar?

Thanks!

Judging by the name, I'd say it's a dedicated supply to a particular area to supply power for various productions. The disconnect is probably where the roadies get their power.

In my experience show disconnect is just a regular fused disconnect located in a good spot for road shows. Most times it is just a bare disconnect that the road crews connect cam-loc whips to.

I have also seen where permanent chassis mount cam-locs have been installed in a box just under the disconnect but unless they are specified I would not provide them.
