Some years ago now...
I was wiring an addition to a house and had to spend a lot of time in the attic which was full of old rock wool. I had been exposed to rock wool over the years and it never bothered me a bit. The first day or two I just crawled through it like usual. It started to bother me so I bought some Tyvex suits. The rock wool still got through 'the cracks' and started bothering me immensely. By the end of the job I had developed such a sensitivity to the rock wool there I couldn't even stand to open the attic hatch. It was almost like I developed an allergy to the stuff.
