At what point did you get that message. I got to where they sent me a link but I gave a fictitious email as I didn't want my email spammed...
 
it appears that A-B has moved the download of this software off of the "free" site. I can no longer download it either, and I was able to back in 2015. Unfortunately I lost that HDD so I lost the software with it.

Where can I get the UltraMaster 1.62 installation file?

UltraMaster is only available to customers with a valid Motion or Legacy Hardware tech connect contract and to customers who had purchased a copy in the past (software serial number required) . Please contact Tech Support, reference this Technote number, and if qualified, they will provide you with instructions for downloading the UltraMaster software version 1.62. Its catalog number is Master-D-U. For those looking for BRU Master software, please use this UltraMaster software.

Note: Ultra Master software is not compatible with Windows 7 or VMware. It has run successfully in Windows XP. See 563893 - UltraMaster used with Windows 7 and a USB adapter for adding Windows XP mode to Windows 7.​

Most likely if you had ever downloaded it in the past, it recognizes you as possessing (or had possessed) a valid license, so it allows you to access it.

I have never possessed or download this software. I got as far as them sending the link but never went further
