I plan on bringing a shovel with me and swapping Nebraska and Colorado around this trip. This way, the next time I go west, as soon as I get past Council Bluffs I'm just 3 hours out of Denver!
About the only thing new in the past 30 years along I80 is the museum overpass at Kearney.

Stop if you need to stretch your legs. They are having some sort of gathering of the Pawnee Indians there this weekend. Also building a Firemans Museum just West of the cluster over the interstate.
Thunderhead Brewery makes some good stuff.
Wave on the way by, I live just 8 miles North, or if you climb up to the top of the winged horse thingies on the Museum I am the new yellow(?) house with a two car garage. No lawn & no motion lights. Bring your tools, I need some work done.

No wheat here, just corn, beans, brome grass, & sweetclover. Mix in more Pheasant & Quail than we have had in years along with a flock of Turkey and two Jack Rabbits make it just a dang nice spot. Payments start next month.
