What is the Role Of Power Supply In Plc System ?
That is a very large and shadowy question, Berad.
Is it a homework question or one that you have come up with on your own?
There are several things that might be referred to in the "role of power supply" in that context. I will mention a couple, and would like you to build from there with your ideas of what might be useful distinctions.
1. The first is the operation of the PLC itself. The PLC consists of active solid state logic that requires power, yes?
2. The input sensors of the PCL (digital or analog) might require external power. Or are they powered by the PLC itself?
3. Whatever is controlled by the PLC will require power of some sort. Does it have its own power source or is it driven directly by the PLC outputs?
Are there potentially different answers to the above questions that depend on the details of a particular PLC operation?
Are you studying PLCs yet, or are you looking ahead to a field you are interested in?
In any case, welcome to our Forum. Although we concentrate on the National Electrical Code, we do discuss a lot of other things related to the electrical professions.
