In my case i have adjacent tenants and walls touching those tenants are fire rated but in middle of my space their are partition such as for bathroom, various dance floors that are not fire rated. The building construction is type II with my space occuoancy load 102. Can I use romex on the non fire rated wall in the middle of my space?
Is sounds like you might, but is the cost savings over MC worth making an oops! and the apprentice or J-man uses it in a rated wall?
Just as an aside, in NJ this occupancy would require sprinklers and a fire alarm system. The fire alarm system has to be able to kill the sound system and turn on the lights in the event of a fire alarm signal sent to the panel.
