romex in complete conduit systems

it is to my understanding that romex cannot be used in a complete condiut system but can't seem to find that in the NEC, and if not why and where can it be found in the NEC

You can not find it because it's not in there.

You can pull cables inside raceways.

I never understood why someone would want to pull nm cable in a complete raceway. You would have to watch your conduit fill including the jacket etc.

Seen a 6-2 NM pulled through a 3/4 emt conduit run with 5 ninety's. They must have slide it in as they installed the conduit. (This was also back when they used the TW like insulation on the wires too!)
