I bet 300-watt-equivalent CFL's would start in the cold, provide more light, and use less power doing it.

I just noticed this pic. I'm curious to know how you got a one hole strap attached to the bottom chord of the trusses? Was there enough room to run the screw in without blowing out the edge of the truss chord? Did you modify the strap and bend it more like a J? Did you use drive straps, maybe?

Pipe is not run in the center of the 2by, it's slightly offset. Looks kinda tacky, I know, but it's the only way to get a 1-hole on there. Plus, the screws wre run in at an angle.
