Romex Splicing in wall

Tyco makes a splice kit for #14 and #12 Romex. I read their brochure. It references code article 334-40.
I'm not sure if this can be used in a wall where it will be buried? Or do it still need to be Accessible?

I'm not sure why anyone would want to cover up a splice in any situation.

It is being installed for new wiring, the splice kit must remain exposed after installation. If you are using it for a repair, it can be concealed after installation. 334.40(B).

Agree with Don, but don't see why it is fine for one condition, but not another.

I wouldnt use one of those things. I would just use a regular box and bury it. If you arn't confident enough in your splices to bury a jbox then maybe you should find another line of work.
