What about something like 8/3 NM? The individual wires inside appear to be THHN. If so could you run NM inside the house, strip the jacket and run the individual conductors in conduit outdoors. Does anyone here know if these are THHN or not?
 
Strip a foot or two and let us know what is printed on the insulation.

You need to see a W, as in THWN or THHN or THHW, not just THHN.

I don't use romex, and I believe you probably know the answer to your question, so help me out.

What's it going to say? Anything?

Nope. Nada.
 
Larry is right, so in other words, the conductors outside the sheath don't exist as single conductors that can be installed in a single conductor wiring method.
