Sorry, IMO it's a real dis-service here not for everyone to be required to at least state the State there in, or Be creative - like leave a clue! Others can fully understand and benifit from the vast and various information presented here, that can be specific to someone's location.

There's about 2 or 3 major, plus different additional Building Codes across this great land, that alone might add to a greater understanding. That alone could be a clue, if they knew where the OP was and would possibly reply!

I'm here for the Code, if I thought I need to read someones profile to understand the Code, form some level or even approciate responses based on it.
How Narrow my Mind and Sight, to think that I need to see someone location it just seems compounding doesn't it!

I could care less of any one's profile here, there moderator'd correctly per all the characters involved enough and fairly so!

Where's that line form anyways?

But wait, if you got something to say about the CODE make sure a its corrrect description and give the exact location.

We'll all know a complete description and the reader wont have to ask questions instead of formulating an answer.

I'll apoligize to the OP for breaking the thread, I learned something too just, the same.

Not if they have a choice. An ahj can demand it. Many years ago miami demanded it. When my partner first moved to Naples he had no idea what this new stuff was. Yes it would cost far more but look at what NEC has added thru the years that we did not want. Most of it helpfull and just might stop a few fires.

Well, it might be frustrating that some don't do things that make sense to each of us, but we just have to deal with what we get here.

But don't despair over that small issue. I'm sure you, and most of us here, have plenty of other things we can worry about.:smile:
 
Im just confused on where the code says you can use romex. reading 334.10(3) it says cables shall be concealed in walls, floors or ceilings. Tehn you go to 334.10a and it says nm can be used in concealed and exposed locations. My head hurts:-? Annex E makes my headache even worse
