Roof receptacle

Does an exhaust fan fall under 210.63 (i.e. is it considered air-conditioning equipment)? It seems like it doesn't but I thought I'd ask. This is my first post, thank you.

I have never had an inspector expect a service receptacle for an exhaust fan.

No. The requirement does not cover exhaust fans.

I'm pretty sure that in order to be classified as "air conditioning" equipment, it needs to provide humidity control. Exhaust fans don't do that.

To be precise, a fan does not condition the air, it merely moves it. Also, a fan alone does not constitute a refrigeration cycle. So it is not an HVAC component.
