Roof top Vacuum pump

We are installing a 5 hp vacuum out in the open on our roof . This will be tied into a bubble point room down below so it will be pumping Ethanol fumes . This is a Gast 6066 vacuum pump . The motor we are installing is explosion proof direct coupled to the pump . Just curious does this motor have to be explosion proof for this application out in the open ?

What is the area classification where the pump is installed. The discharge point may create a classified "bubble" around it. Is the motor within that bubble?
