Handibox is fine for end of run. I almost never use any but the 2-1/8 deep versions either. Shallower boxes always have device screws hit the conduit/cable fitting if entering from an end.
Who cares that it has a "utility look", it is inside a cabinet. Flush mounting is a waste of time, flush mounting in wall then having cabinet guys make a cut out - looks less professional if they don't cut it right then the handibox does. Users are still going to hide it behind whatever they place in the cabinet.
