If the couduit that your running is within 10 ft. of a wall. I would take a 3/4 piece of conduit mark and cut to desired lenght of the first JB. Hold the conduit against the wall and put a mark at the end of it. That would be the side of your conduit.

Good info, and I would like to add, let the supply house keep the damaged EMT on their rack, not your job.

What? You don't like "Pre-Bent" bundles of EMT on your jobs? I take great joy
in throwing the fork-lift bent EMT back on the supply truck and calling my
rep to deliver straight conduit in his personal vehicle that day.:grin::grin:
