Update: just got back from a several day road trip to Pennsylvania. Most services I saw were in SE cable and I was on the lookout of sill plates. I did not see any.

I like sill plates. Makes it clean and neat imo, and also provides some comfort for that irrational fear that somehow the cable will get damage there
