Have a family member who just purchased private land around a large public lake and is in the process of building a camper shed with covered deck and small living quarters that will have to install 100 amp main breaker panel for. The land has 4 camper pedestals that are spread far apart That are fed off of a 200 amp metered disconnect. I know I should come off the service feed and oversize wires as it is about 300’ to panel but he doesn’t want to trench that far because of all the buried lines and sewer piping that are in the ground around there. My question is can I tap off of the third pedestal that are paralleled with 250 kcmil aluminum as this would make it a 20’ run to the panel, I think you must count each pedestal at 40 amps but they won’t ever be pulling that much at once. He’s set on this idea and can’t talk him out of it , anyone Have any suggestions
Thanks
