We have a customer with a DirecTV satellite system that keeps getting fried.
Basically, the dish is mounted near the meter and it shares the ground at the service entrance. Coax lines run form the dish to a multi-switch (satellite splitter). From the switch, coax lines run to the DirecTV receivers.
This switch keeps getting surges (so far they have lost 3 of them).
Multi-switches are usually the most reliable part of the system.
Any suggestions??
