Isn't it the same as the ones that hold the cover on? If so, take one to a hardware store and match it. It's been years, but I had to do that once and I found a replacement at Home Depot.

No its the one that turns off and on the disconnect, the on off switch just spins if you don't have the little screw, it only comes with one , so I have nothing to match it to thanks

Then call SMA tech support, I guess.

It's probably metric, so this will likely be a McMaster order, rather than something you could expect to find at a regular hardware store. I know that most cover screws for SMA inverters are M6 socket head cap screws, so I expect metric for everything else.

Which exact SMA inverter are you talking about? The Sunny Boy series? Or the Tripower series? Or other? I'll check the Sunny Boy disconnect when I'm at work tomorrow, and let you know.

Lowes has a pretty good selection of metric fasteners.

You need a better regular hardware store :D, there are two within 3 miles of me that will have them (M6 socket heads) and there's an even better place maybe 10 miles away. But, yes, if you don't have decent local stores (which we should buy from so they stay in business), it's McMaster or Fastenal.

Curiously enough, the one thing the locals don't seem to have is 12-24 machine hardware.

I have found those socket screws at HD, but the OP says it's not one of those but the long skinny one that clocks the shaft of the rotary switch that runs the disco to the plastic knob.
