sealing floor

I am wiring a new panel in a garage in 2 family . My circuits coming from the floor above how would I seal the wiring between floors ? If anyone has any methods we would like to here them .

Fire caulking. That's the usual way,

I do not believe that in a typical wood frame home that 'fire caulk' is really necessary. It would be draft stop which if a much less expensive product then a true fire caulk.

I have only used it in hospitals myself, but when I used to do new residential, they had a company that sealed all the cracks in the house before the insulation went in and they used firestop around the wires between floors, I have no idea what is really required. other penitrations, like to the outside they used a product that was alot like expanding foam.

When entering garage you are penetrating a firewall, which also needs to be sealed for carbon monoxide penetration. I believe fire caulk is an acceptable method but you might ask your ahj.

Now I am second guessing myself, they may have only used firestop on penitrations going into the attic. I have slept since then
