from the "experts" i work with the wall is considered a boundary and therefore the 15' is n/a
I have seen where the 15' starts at the enclosure and extends from there. At least for pre-assembled/skidded compressors with factory weatherproof enclosures. I am not sure if this is what you have. If the enclosure has ventilation, then I assume it has louvers or vented openings. So I'm not sure how it would define an area boundary.

think of it like this, the compressor enclosure has 4 sides, 1 towards back of trailer (also C1D2)/2 sides/1 towards front of trailer

the side facing the front of the trailer does not have louvers or vented openings, only the other sides do. The top has a large fan. That is how I think they are getting away with the 15' boundary as n/a towards the front.

I think entering this enclosure from the top is what we'll do.
