First and I'm sure not last, what is the maximum horsepower rating for a motor rated 300 volts or less? Second, how do I figure amperage ratings for various size SO cord and how is it listed (named) in the code book

Look at tables 430.137 through 430.151 for the highest motor listed in the NEC.

This does not necessarily mean there are not motors outside of these tables.

Type "SO" is listed as type "SO". See Table 400.4
