Does anyone have tips on getting Flexible metal conduit connectors really snug onto the FMC (Greenfield ). I've tightened them up and the FMC doesn't feel rock solid in there. Like if I gave it a good yank, the FMC is coming out of the squeeze connector.

And what is the purpose of those little holes on the side of the FMC squeeze connectors?

Working with 1 1/4".

Thanks.

We usually use a peice of metal tie wire through the hole or around the screw tighten up the connector and wrap it around fmc

Mainly careful reshaping after cutting. The end with the spiral on the outside grips much better, so I install with that end where the greater grip is more beneficial, but proper securing and supporting matter.

So the inspector can see whether a bushing was installed.
