I had a friend who was looking for an reference about bolting transformers to the ground...he had someone who told him it was a waste of time. I have seen transformers get "seismiced" to the ground and believe it was spec'd by the engineer, but I haven't seen an reference to do so in code books. Are there NEC references to securing an transformer, or is it more an building code to seismic?
