Is there any code compliant way to run security camera wiring up a light pole with the power conductors?

I'm thinking it might be OK if the security camera cable has the right type of cable.

Or maybe the power conductors could be ran in AC or MC cable?

How would they get to it at the base of the light pole?

Actually, I'm not sure how they would install the power wiring in AC or MC cable either. We usually spec a box in the concrete base of the pole. Then they would have to pull the AC cable through a conduit from the box to the pole base. But then there would have to be a termination inside the handhole. So I think that idea is out.

I've seen a hole drilled at the top and bottom of the pole larger than the OD of liquid tite and liquid tite run all the way from a box at the base of the pole, into the pole as a chase, then back out again into the security camera.
 
With a dedicated undergrd raceway you can change over to sealtite within the pole, and come into the back of some type of box: like a bell box.I/m sure its not easy to do, but it will seperate power from security cable..just a thought....
 
So the security camera cable can't just be ran in the pole with the power wiring?

Isn't there any type of cable with an outter jacket (rated for line voltage) that would allow this?

That applies only to enclosures, not raceways.

I have done it a couple of times with LFNC, we connected the LFNC as we set the pole on the base.
 
Maybe a little off topic, but...

I see traffic cameras mounted on traffic light poles and city street lights and I've always wondered how they get that video signal from Point A to point B? What sort of method of transmission are they using?
