Security Light distance from an industrial size propane tank

See article 515. See "Tank - aboveground". It looks like the area further than 10' (3.0m) from the "shell, ends, or roof of the tank" is considered unclassified. If there is a dike around the tank, the area inside the dike to the "level of top of tank" is a Class I, Division 2 and Zone 2 area. Outside of this the area appears to be unclassified. You will need to study article 515 to detrmine which section best describes your specific installation.
 
I don't think Article 515 applies, since LP gas (propane) is not a class 1 liquid. You would be more likely to find rules governing this in NFPA 58, the LP gas code. I haven't read that document for a long time, but I think they are more concerned with clearances from combustible items, as opposed to electrical equipment. Again, I haven't read it in a few years though.
