Seen This Elbow Yet?

I saw my first one of these at a supplier yesterday.

It comes as shown, with an additional hub loose inside that can be used or not. LB, LL, LR, T, C. Rigid or EMT. 1/2" to 2". Whatever you configure it at. And the cost is supposed to be about that of a regular T.

What'd'ya think?

The one shown in the picture is made of a composite OSB/paper and is painted shiny to resemble metal. If you want a code-compliant one, it's gonna cost ya!

I saw it too. It was no bargain...around $8. I think a "T" costs a lot less than that.

Probably would be great for a service crew instead of stocking all other configurations.If $8.00 then that would eleiminate having to have LB`S,LR`S ,ETC>Sometimes we pay a bit more for an item but when you bottom line it it`s chaper in the long run.Labor,gas etc.

Funny! I just saw this last week at the supply house during the Friday barbque or hockey puck cooking competion". The supply rep. was pssing one around. It would be nice to one on hand in a pinch. My cost 1/2 $6.63, 3/4 $7.92

I see a disaster...some joker will pack that thing beyond all reasonable thought with conduits, wire, etc...probably hang a fixture from it, too.

Good question. I can't find anything at the website that answers your question.

It is interesting to note that Arlington says it is listed to have splices in it.

The same is true for standard conduit bodies; I'm sure the go-up-one-size rule will still apply.

Like the tract homes around here. Made of OSB and vinyl. Not enough lumber in 3 of them to build one good one. But thats another story.

I resent that!

First of all, not everyone considers me a joker. Well, actually, never mind...

Also, there was no sticker anywhere on the thing that said I couldn't hang a ceiling fan from it, so there!

That is exactly the same thought I had when this thing turned up on Bill Aldiss's site several months back. This is a DIY's dream. I can't wait to see what sort of Three Stooges assembly's will be coming....
