I've been reading everything I can to try and ensure I'm doing this to code (NEC 2017 and IRC 2021) and I've even spoken to my AHJ a couple of times with things I couldn't piece it together myself. At this point I'm down to a few last questions and I can't quite figure them out with online resources.
1) For the BESS I need to have a heat detector installed and it needs to be above 135F so I found a Honeywell 6504 but I can't figure out how to wire that into the rest of the home. I found a relay that goes with the rest of my alarms, First Alert RM 4, and I'm going to run wire from one alarm to the garage for the heat detector.
My question is how do I properly connect this relay so the heat detector signals the rest of the house when it goes off? Their website has several diagrams but I just don't quite understand which device gets wired to what.

2) Another question I can't quite find an answer to is regarding disconnects. This is an off-grid install and I'm placing a new breaker panel in the garage next to the inverter and battery.
Do I need to run wire across the garage to the outside wall next to the main service panel and install an AC disconnect then run the wire back across the garage into the new panel?
3) My third remaining question is regarding the rapid shutdown requirements. I'm using the tigo equipment for it and I'm going to wire in a button to trigger it but my question is regarding the button location. Does the rapid shutdown button need to be placed by the main service panel (about 25 feet from the inverter/battery)?
Also, would the rapid shutdown button replace the need for a dedicated AC disconnect? I know that the EG4 inverter and battery both shut down when the rapid shutdown is engaged, the battery breaker actually trips if I understand it correctly.
