Being from Mass and performing most of our work in Mass, we are accustomed to having separate, dedicated, 2 hour rated rooms for Emergency electrical distribution equipment. In hospitals, this means a dedicated 2 hour rated room for the Critical and Life Safety equipment.
I don't believe this is required by the NEC and therefore I imagine there are new hospitals out there that have Normal, Critical, Life Safety and Equipment gear all in the same room. And that this is perfectly code compliant.
Is that a true statement?
Thanks,
Mike
