Series rated combinations

Hello,

I found that Series-rated systems can consist of fuses that protect circuit breakers or of circuit breakersthat protect circuit breakers.
Can the combination of circuit breakers that protect fuses be series-rated?

In theory I suppose, but fuses typically do a better job of current limiting than breakers do for high current faults, so in reality i can’t see that anyone would bother with the necessary testing.

I have never seen that combination. In addition to what Jraef and ron said, fuses rated 100KA are pretty easy to get. Not much point in trying to protect them from high SCC.
