Service Call

went on a service call yesterday....Fridge and counter top outlets not working...go under the house to find about 6 different flying taps, the "electrician" didn't even bother to put wirenuts on the taps...but, he did pre-twist...nonetheless, 2 new circuits needed to be run...and while i was investigating, it seems that someone also, in order to properly ground the outlets(they were wired in nm without a ground), they ran a piece of red thhn to each of the countertop outlets and skinned it and just wrapped it around the sewerage pipe under the kitchen...also, i found a piece of green thhn run up the wall to a pipe driven in the ground under the house...jeez ...ill post some pics when i go back

yeah, about 50 years old....some seriously scary stuff...the taps were so corroded...i think i may have saved Joe the Plumbers Life(there was an artical in New orleans about our own "joe the plumber" and this was one of his customers
