is there any thing in the code that gives you a max amount of feet that a service disconnect can be outside a building?

i had that as a question on my test and the choices where 10', 15', 20', or 25'
so there must be something? or the test center does not know what there doing. i passed but i was looking for that question for a while and could not find it

Are you what is the maximum amount of feet that a service disco can be from the meter??

A meter can be on a pole 100 feet away with the service disco at the structure. You could also have a meter at the structure and pipe all around the outside of that building to the opposite side and set your disco there. Until it enters the building there is no issue-- once it enters is an arbitrary call by the AHJ. Some areas say 5 feet, 10 feet etc. The nec does not give a distance.

The NEC only requires the disconnect to be readily accessible. It says nothing about distances. So the question is not valid.
