so if breakers are installed on the load side of a service main disconnect then these breakers cannot be one of the 6 main disconnects?
I think it would be more accurate to say that those breakers "would not be required to be" considered one of the six main disconnects.

In order to be compliant with the code, 6 main breakers would have to be paralleled with the service entrance cables instead of being in series or fed from the service main breaker?
If the desire is to avoid having a single main, that's how six mains would be wired, yes. If after a single main, there is no six-disco limit.

Downstream of a service disconnect - you no longer have additional service disconnects- everything there is either a feeder or a branch circuit and there is no limitations on how many there can be.
