I have a 600a rated CT can with a 4 meter stack attached to the side with 4 225a breakers in it that feeds 4 separate tenants. We pulled parallel 250 aluminum from the utility XFMR to the ct can thinking it would be fine since we calculated a load of 307amps total and we added more than we are installing for example a welder in each tenant in case they added it later down the road. The inspector told me I have to size the conductors off the 600a rating of the ct can. Is he correct?
