After a phone call to the city utilities company, I found out they issued me the wrong meter socket but forgot to inform me before hand. To my luck the correct meter socket was the same can and the guts were interchangable.
With that said, the GEC is also known and taken care of. Hopefully by midweek I will have the service completed.
