Hi,
can we install the new 400A stand-up service in outside , 1 foot away from entry door to the warehouse???
some electricians say, service should be at lease 3 feet away from swinging door???

Local amendment?
Hearsay, rumor, guess?

Would it be behind the door when the door is opened? I thought that was a violation, though I have never had to address it.

I do not think that is a violation, maybe bad practice.

It's not a violation and I consider it best practice. It's the best way to keep a clear workspace. Nobody puts shelves and junk in the way of a door swing.
