We can do that too, but the HO has to pay for the new pole on their side of the street. Who pays for the pole over there?

I really am not sure. It use to be if you upgrade the power co. would pay for everything. I am pretty sure that has changed. Ten years ago the Podco would do the risers on the house as long as it wasn't a masted job. They would bring the service drop to the house and without splice run into the weatherhead down the 2" PVC riser and hook to the meter. All at their expense. That also is gone. Back in those days they also provided the meter.
